Are you able to look at a space and visualize its potential? Do you enjoy designing and seeing a project through from start to finish? If so, the Interior Design Technology program might be right for you. The two-year program, offered both through fully online and in-person delivery methods, is structured around the professional standards of the Council for Interior Design Accreditation.
In the classroom, our experienced instructors will stimulate your imagination while showing you how to develop creative yet practical solutions to create healthy, productive and exciting living and working environments. With our hands-on approach to training, you’ll use laptops loaded with industry-standard software, put classroom theory into practice during group projects and gain valuable experience working on real-world design projects.

A personal computer and a tablet/IPad and pencil bundle will be required to complete the Interior Design diploma program.

Unique Program Feature
Students who have graduated from the two-year Interior Design Technology program will only require one additional year to complete the Architectural Animation Technology program. Graduates of the Architectural Animation Technology program will only require one additional year to complete the Interior Design Technology program.
Graduation
Upon successful completion of all program requirements, students are awarded an Interior Design Technology diploma.
New applicants are accepted into the Interior Design Technology program for the Fall (September) term.

All applicants must meet the general admission requirements for Lethbridge College programs, as indicated in the Admission section of this calendar.
Academic Requirements
In addition to meeting the general admission requirements indicated in the Admission section of this calendar, applicants to this program must also satisfy the following specific course requirements (or equivalencies):
- Grade 12 Math (equivalent to Alberta’s Math 30-2 or a higher level Math)

Royal Roads University
Graduates of Lethbridge College's Interior Design Technology diploma program who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and complete an additional 3-credit university level accounting or business math course are eligible to be admitted into the third year of the Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management at Royal Roads University. Graduates of Lethbridge College's Interior Design Technology diploma program are eligible to receive up to 72 credits towards the Bachelor of Interior Design (BID) at Yorkville University.
