Welcome to Lethbridge College, and to a community of people committed to you and your learning success.

You’ve made a big commitment by choosing our college. Our thanks for your commitment is our promise to provide you with a welcoming, inclusive and supportive space where you can learn, explore and prepare for what happens next.

This academic calendar is one of the most important reference guides for current and prospective students. You’ll find information about our programs, courses and services. You’ll discover what to expect as a Lethbridge College student, key dates and deadlines, what courses you need for your certificate, diploma or degree, and where those courses can transfer. Think of it as a practical guide to what you need to know now and what you might need to know as your vision for your future takes shape.

While much of the Academic Calendar feels very official, I want to share with you my take on Lethbridge College as someone who joined the community as its new president in September 2022:

• Be ready to connect with instructors who have an abundance of knowledge, experience and passion for their fields of expertise.
• Be ready to experience the work world, in the most realistic ways. Nearly all of your courses will have some work-integrated learning, whether that’s a practicum with a potential employer, a virtual or real-life scenario where you put theory into action, or a relevant volunteer opportunity.
• Be ready to seize on applied research opportunities, which could include assisting our world-class researchers and industry partners, collaborating to solve real-world problems.
• Be ready to demonstrate competencies related to both program outcomes and vital employment skills you’ll need for success in your career.
• Be ready to learn in a caring and inclusive learning environment where you can get help you need from people who care.
• Make friends. They will encourage and support you here, and quite possibly for many years to come

If you’re new to the college, or coming back to us, I wish you the best of the upcoming academic year, and I look forward to your successful completion of the certificate, diploma or degree of your choice.
